This is a documentary-in-production, and I'm excited to share some of the initial painted scenes with you here!

This 14 minute documentary explores emotion, science, loss, and landscape as it follows the voices of scientists from a range of disciplines working in the high Arctic archipelago of Svalbard. The film disrupts traditional documentary formats through experimental animation merged with conversational scientist interviews.

The film uses metallic marker on acetate sheets, paired with textured papers and fabric, to create living landscapes. At this stage in production, 450 individual frames have been painted.

It is due for anticipated release in late 2026.
