Mercy Hospital Washington Documentary
This 5 minute documentary for the Mercy Hospital Washington, commissioned by Amsterdam-based Ziksana Consulting, aimed to create out-patient videos for COPD patients that could be accessed via an App.
These films needed to be informative, so working from doctor-approved scripts was vital to the process. However they also needed to be non-threatening and non-patronising, so working to find the correct visual style and tone that could appeal to a wide range of audiences was a very rewarding and integral part of the process.
The subject matter covered a range of topics, and therefore was broken down into shorter stand-alone films so patients could access the information they wanted quickly. A hand drawn style was used to keep things clear but avoid coming across as too clinical.
